Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1985 Taylor Vintage Port (93JG, 93WS, 91VN). Wine Spectator: "Medium ruby. Beautiful aromas of flowers and fresh plum, with hints of stems. Full-bodied and medium-sweet, with gorgeous silky tannins and a long, long finish. This is just starting to come around and offers wonderful flavors. Long life ahead, but ready to try. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Moët & Chandon "Grand Vintage" Brut Rosé Champagne (94VN, 93JS, 93WE, 93WS, 92JG, 92RP). Vinous: "Moët's 2008 Grand Vintage Rosé is fabulous. Light on its feet and gracious, the 2008 impresses with exceptional balance and crystalline purity. There is a translucence to the 2008 that is impossible to miss. Sweet rose petal, autumn leaves, tobacco, mint and licorice are woven together in an intricate fabric of aromas and textures. Wiry and sculpted in the style of the year, the 2008 Grand Vintage Rosé is fabulous. Light on its feet and gracious, the 2008 impresses with exceptional balance and is probably the single most impressive young Champagne I have tasted from Moët in some time. The 2008 is 46% Pinot Noir (of which 20% red wine), 32% Chardonnay, 225 Pinot Meunier. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. 94+ (AG)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Pascal Doquet "Vertus" Coeur de Terroir 1er Cru Champagne. From the importer: 'With holdings of old vines in some of the greatest terroirs in the Côte des Blancs, Pascal Doquet has emerged over the last decade as one of the premier vignerons in Champagne. After he took over his family estate, Doquet-Jeanmaire, in 1995 when his father retired, Pascal established his eponymous Domaine in 2004. Today he farms just under 9 hectares of vines including prime parcels in Vertus, Le Mont Aimé and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger—including his illustrious old vines in the parcel “Champ d’Aoulettes.” Natural farming and dedication to vineyard health is the driving force for Pascal; in fact, he rarely discusses fermentation—his passion is in the vineyards. The Domaine has been certified organic since 2010. Pascal employs extensive cover crops and does his work with a special, ultra-light tractor as to avoid any unnecessary compacting of the soil. Plant-based treatments are emplo

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1985 Dow's Vintage Port (93JS, 93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "The 1985 Dow’s Vintage Port has a gorgeous, very pure bouquet with mulberry, leather, terracotta tiles on a warm day, and hints of clove all beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced with supple tannin, lightly spiced on the entry, touches of liquorice and black pepper, curry powder and ginger with a very harmonious and long finish. This may well be the pick of the 1985 declarations and appears to have edged past the Taylor Fladgate 1985 in recent years. Tasted at the 'Big Fortified Tasting' in London. (NM)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Eisele Vineyard Napa Valley Syrah.

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1998 Burmester Vintage Port. Jancis Robinson: "Bright orange-tinged brown. Subtle, lightly mushroom aroma. Unexpectedly delicate on the palate. Lively, tangy and very fresh (the sample was well chilled). Lovely orange intensity on the finish. 17/20 points. (JH)" (05/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne (94RP, 93WS, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Vintage Brut offers a clear and toasty aroma on the nose. Pure, fresh, lean and delicate but complex and mineral on the palate, this is a lithe and elegant, very finessed and persistent 2008 with grip and expression. This is a complex, intense yet light and very elegant Champagne with a pure, mineral-structured and persistent finish. (SR)" (11/2017)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Leon Barral "Cuvée Valiniere" Faugères (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of Mourvèdre and Syrah, the 2014 Valiniere is a bit richer and darker-fruited than the Jadis but not otherwise more impressive. The fruit is plummy, the wine full-bodied on the palate, but it remains silky-textured and long. These were two outstanding offerings from the talented Didier Barral. (JC)" (05/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé Champagne (94JG, 94JS, 94RP, 94WS, 93WE, 92W&S, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Charles Heidsieck's 2006 Brut Rosé (with 10% Pinot Noir red wine) has been launched before the 2005. Disgorged at the end of 2014, the wine offers a delicate and intense wild strawberry flavor with some lovely spicy aromas on the nose. Ample, full and round, this is a lovely matured Rosé with a super intense and aromatic Pinot character (sweet cherries, red berries). The finish underlines the great complexity, purity and finesse of this vinous Rosé. There are cherry aromas again in the long aftertaste. An impressive rosé. (SR)" (06/2016)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2017 Le Grappin Savigny-Les-Beaune Blanc. From the producer: "Le Grappin began in 2011 following Andrew’s five-year journey working for some of the world's great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay artisans in California, Central Otago, Burgundy and the Yarra Valley. Our vision for Le Grappin is to seek out special sites in the over-looked, under-appreciated reaches of Burgundy. We seek out viticulteurs who tend their vines throughout the year with exceptional care and attention, to give the grapes the best opportunity to shine. Our job is to ensure the wine reaches it's true potential; working by hand, with small lots, giving each wine as much care and attention as our viticulteurs have paid to the vines."
