Of the 1996 A. Palacios Finca Dofi, Priorat,92 points Wine Spectator writes: "A good balance of ripeness and crispness gives definition to this powerful red. Raspberry and cassis flavors are clean and firm, backed by powerful tannins and high alcohol. It's aromatic and long on the finish, but needs time to harmonize and reach its full potential. Best from 2002 through 2010." (09/99)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Perrier Jouët "Belle Epoque" Brut Rosé Champagne (94WE, 93WS, 92VN, 91RP). Wine Enthusiast: "With just the right amount of toasty age, this is gorgeous. Of the 2014 Ultramarine "Heintz Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Rosé Sparkling Wine,Vinous writes: "The 2014 Rosé is an absolute winner from Ultramarine and Michael Cruse. A blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot with 5% still red juice, the Rosé possesses striking translucence and creaminess that builds into a sublime finish laced with cranberry, chalk, mint and white pepper. The dosage of 6 grams per liter is perfectly judged. (AG)" (05/2019)

Of the 1985 Dow's Vintage Port,Vinous writes: "The 1985 Dow’s Vintage Port has a gorgeous, very pure bouquet with mulberry, leather, terracotta tiles on a warm day, and hints of clove all beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced with supple tannin, lightly spiced on the entry, touches of liquorice and black pepper, curry powder and ginger with a very harmonious and long finish. This may well be the pick of the 1985 declarations and appears to have edged past the Taylor Fladgate 1985 in recent years. Tasted at the 'Big Fortified Tasting' in London. (NM)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Krug Brut Champagne (100JG, 100JS, 100W&S, 100WE, 99DC, 97BH, 97RP, 96WS, 94VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a fabulous wine from the greatest Champagne vintage so far this century. Still young, it blends almost equal amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fleshed out with Pinot Meunier. The minerality and the rich apple and green fruits are balanced, and acidity cuts into the wine with a pure, perfumed line of freshness. The wine could be drunk now, but it will age well into the the 2020s. *2016 100 Cellar Selection No. 1* (RV)" (12/2016)

Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Roger Sabon "Le Secret de Sabon" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 97WS, 94VN). According to the Wine Advocate (100): "This was more than made up for by the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape le Secret du Sabon, which was insanely good. Still inky in color (as are most of the top 2001s), it has incredible aromas of cassis, licorice, red wine marinade, roasted meats and bouquet garni that flow to a full-bodied, massive, yet seamless and layered wine that never puts a foot wrong. I don't know if I prefer it over the '07 or '10, but its monumental stuff, without a doubt." (JD)
Starting Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Villa Matilde Taurasi (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Taurasi caresses the palate with freshly cut roses, spices, red berries, mint and licorice. Bright aromas and flavors dazzle the palate while the wilder, more varietal side of Aglianico is less apparent. This is an especially silky, fragant Taurasi but it all works quite nicely. The 2007 isn’t the most varietal Taurasi readers will come across, but it more than makes up for that with a level of pure immediacy and sheer appeal that guarantees it will drink nicely right out of the gate. Villa Matilde excels with a wide range of wines. The house style favors textural richness and depth. At times, varietal expression can take a bit of a back seat, but the wines more than compensate for that with their extraordinary personalitites. In particular, I found a number of the reds to be simply dazzling this year. Many of these wines are also great values. (AG)" (02/2013)
