Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2015 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Nahe (375ml). From importer Skurnik: "Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel – Grand dessert wine – tropical fruits balanced to perfection against a glorious mineral acidity. For over 100 years, the Hermannshöhle has been revered as the Nahe‘s top-ranked site and the benchmark by which all other vineyards in the region are judged. It takes its name from a small mine, or “Höhle”, in the middle of the hillside. “Hermann” is derived from Hermes, the Roman god of messengers and travelers, and the name likely hints at an ancient place of worship once located here. This site faces due south and lies 130 –175 m above sea level. Its soils are primarily blackish gray slate mixed with extrusive igneous rock, porphyry and limestone. For generations, this marvelous site has shaped our expectations for what fine wines from the Nahe can achieve. A perfect, steep southern slope with soils consisti

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The stunning, 2001 Riesling Kabinett Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr has the depth and concentration generally associated with Ausleses. Creamy white flowers can be found in its lively aromas. Light to medium-bodied, lush, and softly-textured, this is a broad wine filled with tangy lime-soaked minerals. Rich, focused, and exquisitely balanced, this is a stupendous Kabinett! (PR)" (12/2002)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Candied stones and liquid minerals are intermingled with honeysuckle blossoms in the aromatics of the 2001 Riesling Auslese Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr. This stunner is elegant beyond words, powerful, crystalline, and has a mind-boggling finish. Its light to medium-bodied, satin-textured personality is boldly flavored yet airy. Quartz, assorted minerals, verbena, and hints of candied limes are found in this complete offering's complex character. (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru "Charmes" (94VN). Vinous: "The 2010 Meursault Charmes is super-impressive. It boasts tons of richness and power, yet all of those elements are buffered by the wine's structure and acidity. Simply put, everything is in the right place. There is an element of pure unbridled energy and sheer tension that gives the Charmes its explosiveness and compelling personality. This is a great showing. I can't wait to taste the Charmes in another year or two. (AG)" (08/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (100JD, (97-100RP), 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard is scented of lemon tart, baking bread, crushed stones, clover honey and shaved almonds with hints of pure, sliced pears and Golden Delicious apples. Full-bodied, elegant, fine and restrained, the silken palate has a quiet intensity, finishing long with savory layers. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Eisele Vineyard Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (97JS). James Suckling: "Incredible subtlety to the nose with dried apples, limes and violets. Even lavender. Medium to full body, a fine texture and a solid finish. A serious white with precision and focus. Superb length. " (01/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Boudriotte" ((91-93VN), 92BH, 92JG, 92RP). Vinous: "(from red soil in the lieu-dit Les Fairendes; one of the three sets of vines here is 100 years old, according to Fontaine): Bright, light yellow. Vibrant perfume of lemon peel and lime blossom. Dense, supple and silky, offering excellent definition to its citrus, floral and powdered stone flavors. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (96JS, 94RP, 94VN, 91WS). James Suckling: "Plethora of fruit character in this white with so much cooked apple, apricot, and pineapple character. It changes with every layer on the palate. Full yet energetic. " (03/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 99JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredibly ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. This wine should age well for 10-15 years, as most of the Marcassin Estate Chardonnays have done to date. (RP)" (03/2016)

Its lovely texture and finesse revealed itself with air, but this needs time. Great finish. (BS)" (03/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine-Coche Dury Puligny-Montrachet "Les Enseignères" (93RP, 91BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignieres has a strict, mineral-rich bouquet that is tightly wound at the moment. It is very focused, its reticence giving way to reveal undergrowth and dewy meadow scents (indeed, this bouquet evokes something “pastoral”). The palate is well-balanced with a beautiful line of acidity. This feels very suave in the mouth, harmonious and graceful, with touches of orange zest and dandelion on the finish. Drink 2016-2031. (NM)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese (96WS, 94RP). Wine Spectator: "A completely seductive and appealing '01 spätlese. Bid on this bottle of 1989 Philippe Foreau "Domaine du Clos Naudin" Vouvray Moelleux Reserve (95JG, 93VN). John Gilman: "The 1989 Foreau Moelleux Réserve is a brilliant example of this vintage that is beginning to approach a very nice plateau of drinkability, but no doubt will continue to cruise along beautifully for forty or fifty more years. The bouquet is deep, complex and glorious in its blend of orange, quince, honey, lavender, briny soil tones, new leather and incipient notes of the tea leaves that will come with further bottle age. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and pure, with beautiful focus and balance, a rock solid core of fruit, lovely intensity of flavor, bright acids and stunning length and grip on the dancing and wonderfully complex finish. Just a beautiful and classic example of this great, great vintage in Vouvray. Drink between 2009-2050." (10/2009)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 95JD, 94VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the whites and a rich, thrillingly concentrated and unctuous wine from Manfred, the 2014 White Wine Lightmotif is made from 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. Coming from close to equal parts Eleven Confessions, Cumulus and Bien Nacido vineyards, this beauty sports a medium gold color to go with a rich, layered profile that carries tons of ripe peach, honeycomb, pineapple, flowers and citrus. Pure, elegant and silky on the palate, with full-bodied richness, it never puts a foot wrong, is ethereally textured and has a great finish. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 98VN, (96-97JS), 93WS). Vinous: "The 2017 Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard is one of the more overt wines in this range. Lemon confit, tangerine, marzipan, white flowers all develop in this overt, plush Chardonnay. This Russian River site, planted with Montrachet clone Chardonnay, yields wines of real distinction. The 2017 was breathtaking when I tasted it from tank prior to bottling. It is all that, and more, today. What a wine! (AG)" (05/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese (94RP, 93WE, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese (AP #20) opens with a deep, pure and stony lime and grapefruit bouquet, indicating a high ripeness and intensity. Concentrated, piquant and very elegant on the palate, this is an expressive, complex and compactly structured Sonnenuhr Spätlese with a very long and mineral finish. Impressive in its finesse and mineral expression. (SR)" (03/2016)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2002 Huët "Clos du Bourg" 1er Trie Vouvray Moelleux (97JG, 95ST, 94WS). John Gilman: "Picking a favorite between the 2005 and 2002 Clos du Bourg Premier Trie will be one of the delights for the next generation, provided this generation is thoughtful enough to leave some of each behind so that the question can be answered properly when the wines are 30 or 40 years of age. Rest assured that they will both be considered amongst the greatest ever produced at this estate. The 2002 Clos du Bourg Premier Trie is a magical wine, that jumps from the glass in a blend of apple, lemon, pear, bee pollen, acacia blossoms, great minerality, and a bit of youthful chalk dust in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, long and just brilliantly balanced, with outstanding mid-palate depth, precise focus, and a brilliantly racy and endless finish. Perhaps the 2005 possesses just a hair more intensity than the 2002 Clos du Bourg Premier Trie, but it is hard not

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2002 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Urziger Wurzgarten Eiswein Mosel (375ml) (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Riesling Eiswein Urziger Wurzgarten’s jammy apricot-scented nose is more reminiscent of a tangy Beerenauslese’s than an Eiswein’s. It has spectacular focus, precision, and reveals loads of sweet, zesty limes, white pepper, apricot, and lemon flavors in its driven personality. This concentrated but not super-rich Eiswein should be drunk over the next 40 years. (PR)" (02/2004)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Dr. Loosen Erdener Prälat Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (375ml) (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The densely layered 2001 Riesling Auslese Erdener Pralat (Gold Capsule) has intense smoky, honeyed aromas. Pear syrup imbued with slate and minerals are intermingled with red berries and kumquats in this medium-bodied, rich, thick wine. Concentrated, powerful, and deep, it appears to have the muscle of a Beerenauslese. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020. (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 M. Chapoutier "De L'Orée" Ermitage Blanc (99RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep, rich and full-throttle, yet still elegant and focused, the 2005 Ermitage Cuvee de l’Oree is 100% Marsanne from the Les Murets lieu-dit and was brought up all in demi-muids. Offering off the hook notes of quince, honeysuckle, liquid rock, orange blossom and sautéed peach, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, notable freshness and purity, and a crazy long finish. White wine doesn’t get much better, and this beauty will have another two to three decades of longevity. (JD)" (03/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Fabien Coche Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Les Combes" . This family-run domain, based in Meursault, was created by Julien Coche in 1940 and began as just one hectare of vines. His son Alain took over from him, expanded the holdings, and earned a high reputation for the vintages he produced. Alain is the cousin of Jean-Francois Coche of Domaine Coche-Dury. In fact it was not that long ago that the two domaines shared an almost identical label. Today the domaine is run by Alain's son Fabien and the wines feature a new, modern label.
Starting Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (95VN, (92-94BH)). Vinous: "Pale yellow-green. High-pitched aromas of citrus peel, menthol, lavender and white pepper. Extremely tight without coming across as austere, conveying striking purity to its bracing flavors of grapefruit pith, lemon and crushed stone. Adamant minerality gives this very dense wine terrific inner-mouth tension and yet there's an element of leavening sweetness here as well, not to mention compelling floral perfume throughout. This wonderfully smooth, rich yet weightless wine really dances on the palate, spreading out on the unflagging back end to saturate every square millimeter of the mouth. Cellarmaster Emmanuel Hautus compared this wine to the 2009 in its combination of richness, early appeal and potential longevity. (ST)" (09/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Hudson Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (98RP, 96JS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard is a toasty, nutty, baked peaches and pear tart sex bomb, with an incredible array of nuances on the nose conjuring notions of struck flint, earth, meat, baking bread and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, rich and oh-so-sensuous, it delivers incredible fruit, savory layers and a very long finish. Drink through 2028. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Josef Leitz Rudesheimer Klosterlay Riesling Kabinett . Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Described by importer Terry Theise as “a high wire act”, the 2002 Riesling Kabinett Rudesheimer Klosterlay is a racy, vivacious wine with a slate and flint-laden nose. This lively, bracing offering is light-bodied and reveals a flavor profile filled with candied limes, lemons, as well as tart green apples (something that Theise refers to as “sour power”). (PR)" (02/2004)

A full-bodied Chardonnay with excellent density, ripeness, and length, it should drink well for a decade. The Mussbacher Eselshaut Trockenbeerenauslese (only 50 half-bottles are available for the world) exhibits a Cote Rotie-like, smoky, bacon fat-scented nose. Vinous: "(These old vines, some of which were planted in the 1930s, produce very small grapes and "never a big yield," according to Fontaine): Bright lemon-yellow. The nose offers a wet stone aroma along with an element of honey. Fat and dense, even glyceral, but with surprising lemony acidity neutralizing its slight impression of sweetness. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er "Les Vergers Clos-St. Marc" ((91-94BH), 94VN). Vinous: "Bright, light yellow. Pure tension on the nose, with aromas of blood orange and citrus zest dominating. Boasts outstanding fruit intensity and crunchiness, with a vibrant white peach flavor complicated by a suggestion of grilled pips. Utterly seamless wine but with outstanding inner-mouth lift from brisk, noble acidity (4.5 grams per liter, according to Pillot) without any herbacity. This adamantly primary, intensely juicy premier cru builds dramatically on its peacock's tail of a finish. Stunning potential here. (ST) 94+" (09/2016)

Cool aromas of lime, menthol, minerals and fresh herbs; if the 2014 version is more Meursault in style this is distinctly Puligny. Intensely flavored and linear, with lemon, lime, spice and menthol flavors complicated and lifted by floral and mineral nuances. Classic, sappy, youthfully austere wine with a crushed-stone aftertaste. An excellent showing, but hold this. (ST) 92+?" (09/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1959 S.A. Huet "Le Haut Lieu-Clos du Bourg" Vouvray Moelleux (98RP, 94JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This is an outstanding Haut Lieu, more dry than nowadays, very pure, fresh and mineral despite its richness, with great vitality, finesse, balance, and tension in the endless and thrilling finish. This is one of the finest, and from the matured wines it is the most youthful Huet of this tasting to be served in top restaurants today, not only with cheese (Vacherin, Epoisses, Fourme d'Ambert) but a rice dish with black truffles, mushrooms, black pepper and whatever your Sommelier considers as convenient (hopefully Bresse chicken). Honestly, I would not drink this wine at home, but hire the best cook available to create the once-in-a-lifetime combination. I will do that with the rest of this bottle knowing that no Burgundy on earth (at least of this age) could give me a greater pleasure. The 1959 could reach an even higher score in ten, 20 or 30 years. Re

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Jancis Robinson: "Elegant, exotic, refined and refreshing. Beautiful, lifted aromatics with a dance of white flowers, light melon, and a touch of exotic fruits. Just a bit unctuous. The palate starts creamy and quickly becomes exotically spiced with a rub of dried flowers and just a hint of sweet fruit. Notes of melon, a hint of lychee and a bit of stone fruit. Nice sapidity and length that stimulates the palate and keeps the mouth watering throughout. Glistening acidity. Approachable now but will continue to develop and no doubt age a long time. Nice purity. 18.5/20 points. (ECB)" (09/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Sine Qua Non "Rien Ne Va Plus" Roussanne (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most amazing dry whites I have ever tasted is the 2001 Rien Ne Va Plus. Dense, rich, and full-bodied, with impeccable balance, superb honeyed richness, and wonderfully integrated wood, it is undeniably the greatest New World expression of Roussanne made to date. Another dramatic characteristic, its golden color seemed to lighten as it sat in the glass and sucked up oxygen. This i

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine de la Vougeraie Vougeot 1er Cru "Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot" Blanc ((90-92RP), (89-91BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Vougeot 1er Cru le Clos Blanc has a clean and detailed, granite and smoke-scented bouquet that is austere at first, but finds its voice with aeration. The palate is rounded and harmonious on the entry with touches of tinned peach and nectarine, a keen line of acidity and nicely integrated oak just filling out the finish. Give it a year or two once in bottle - it will be a very fine Vougeot. (NM)" (12/2015)
