Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Dirt Vernacular" California Grenache (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest Grenaches to ever pass my lips is the 2016 Grenache Dirt Vernacular and it’s 78% Grenache, 11.5% Mourvèdre, 7% Touriga Nacional, and the rest Petite Sirah. Reminding me of an old vine Grenache cuvée from the Maurel brothers in Châteauneuf du Pape, it boasts a huge nose of black raspberries, kirsch liqueur, graphite, ground herbs, and pepper. This is one of those wines that offers incredible intensity and depth, yet still just glides over the palate with no sense of heaviness whatsoever. Full-bodied, rich, layered, and pure, it’s a riveting example of Grenache that could come from nowhere else. Drink it any time over the coming 15+ years." (10/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Shafer "TD-9" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95WE, 94RP, (91-94VN), 93JD). Wine Enthusiast: "The winery’s proprietary blend of 58% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Malbec is hugely impressive and memorable, with a smoky, toasted oak character. Plush flavors of blackberry and cherry jam meld with spice on the rich, round midpalate. It offers plenty of grip and concentration, finishing on a handful of dried herb. (VB)" (05/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JD, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the nine-acre True Vineyard up on Howell Mountain and produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard strides confidently out of the glass with incredible poise and pedigree: warm cassis, blackcurrant cordial, baker’s chocolate, licorice and truffles commingled with hints of underbrush, violets, woodsmoke and stewed plums plus a waft of fragrant earth. Full-bodied, concentrated and built like a brick house, it has wonderfully firm, ripe, grainy tannins with a fantastic line of seamless freshness and a powerful, multilayered expression of place coming through on the epically long finish. A decadent beauty right now, this is going to be even more mind-blowing in 15 to 20+ years, and it should go on for 40 or more. (LPB)" (07/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Kistler "Cuvée Natalie-Silver Belt" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 95RP, 94VN, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Pinot Noir Cuvée Natalie is a mix of Calera and Swan clones as well as cool, more iron oxide-driven soils. It offers more red fruits with sensational notes of strawberries, spice, and wet stone literally soaring from the glass. Perfectly balanced, with ultra-fine tannin and a seamless texture, drink this complex, layered, multi-dimensional Russian River Valley Pinot Noir anytime over the coming 10-15 years." (06/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Pichat "Champon's" Côte-Rôtie (92JD, 92RP, 92VN). Vinous: "Opaque ruby. Pungent aromas of fresh dark berries, potpourri and spicecake reveal a bright mineral overtone and a hint of olive paste. Juicy and sharply focused on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors and a deeper suggestion of candied licorice. Closes with excellent clarity and minerally thrust, leaving behind a suave floral note on the very long, gently tannic finish. (JR)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Williams Selyem Sonoma Pinot Noir Vertical Horizontal, including 1-bottle of 2016 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94CG, 94JD, 94RP, 94WE, 93VN) and 1-bottle of 2016 Williams Selyem "Burt Williams' Morning Dew Ranch" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 95W&S, 94VN, 93WE, 92RP). Of the 2016 Williams Selyem "Burt Williams' Morning Dew Ranch" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir,Wine & Spirits writes: "When Burt Williams sold his interest in Williams Selyem to John and Kathe Dyson in 1998, he purchased this 40-acre ranch in Philo, where he planted 13 acres of pinot noir. The hillside planting, at an elevation of 600 feet, faces north and northeast, a cool exposition for grapes further cooled by proximity to the coast. Jeff Mangahas, who now tends to winemaking at Williams Selyem, used those grapes to produce a delicate pinot noir, fragrant with scents of cherry blossoms, its darker tones of spring mushrooms, moss and conifer forests wa

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (100JD, 99JS, 98RP, 96WE, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection in a glass, the 2016 Syrah Bionic Frog is another magical wine from this estate and is as good as it gets. Crème de cassis, rose petals, menthol, ash, and smoky, meaty, soy sauce notes all emerge from this singular wine. Full-bodied, expansive, and powerful yet weightless on the palate, it has ultra-fine tannins, a brilliant finish, and a singular, magical character. It matches the otherworldly 2014 and 2010 and is one of the wines of the vintage. (JD)" (04/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Kapcsándy "Grand Vin - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 97ST, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard is deep garnet-purple colored with a lovely crème de cassis core backed-up by the most amazing perfume of lilacs, oolong tea, camphor and dark chocolate plus gentle wafts of aniseed and red currants. Mediumbodied with fantastic vibrancy and intensity, the palate practically rings with spine-tingling energy. It slowly builds in the mouth to reveal layers of red and black fruits supported by a very finely grained frame and seamless freshness, leading to a drop dead gorgeous, perfumed lift on the long finish. Sex in a glass. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, (94-96RP), 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A barrel sample, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a very deep purple-black color and gives up notes of crushed wild blueberries, black plums and cassis with touches of fried herbs, charcuterie, tree bark and menthol plus a suggestion of mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and oodles of freshness supporting the restrained, muscular fruit, finishing with a pleasant herbal lift. (LPB)" (12/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Rhys "Alpine Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (98JD, 97RP, 92BH). Jeb Dunnuck: "There are three monumental wines in the lineup and the 2016 Pinot Noir Alpine Hillside is one of them. Slightly deeper colored, it tastes like the straight Alpine release, but with the intensity turned all the way up. Thrilling notes of white flowers, forest floor, crushed rocks, and both red and black fruits give way to a medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir that has perfect balance and a layered, powerful, yet incredibly elegant style on the palate. It’s one of the finest Pinot Noir to come from these magical terroirs just south of San Francisco. Give bottles a few years and enjoy over the following 10-15." (02/2019)

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98JD, 96WE, 95JS, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Colombia Valley is a beautiful wine and has a more classic profile than the more sexy, massive 2015. Beautiful notes of creme de cassis, lead pencil shavings, graphite, dried herbs, and loamy earth all flow to a full-bodied, incredibly pure and perfectly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon that has no hard edges, a deep, concentrated mid-palate, good acidity, and a great, great finish. It reminds me of the 2002 with its uber classic, balanced yet broad and powerful style. 98+" (04/2019)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (96RP, 95JH, 93BC, 92JS, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dramatic, intense and powerful, the 2016 Amon Ra Shiraz recalls the 2004 in its youth, crammed with layers of fruit, complex, savory elements and rich, velvety tannins. It's full-bodied, characterized by notes of grilled meat, espresso, black olive, cassis, vanilla, baking spices and an undercurrent of loamy earth. Yes, it's unapologetically big and bold, the product of a warm, sunny climate and ripe grapes, but it does show a sense of decorum, restraint and elegance on the long finish. (JC)" (08/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100JD, 100VN, 98DC, 98JS, 98RP, 97WS, 95WE). Vinous: "The 2016 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is every bit as regal as it has always been. Towering and spectacularly rich in the glass, the 2016 captures every ounce of potential is showed from barrel. The 2016 is a vivid, dramatically sweeping wine that will leave readers week at the knees. Beams of tannin give the 2016 soaring intensity that is matched by a host of aromas and flavors that open up in the glass. Blackberry jam, graphite, spice, menthol, licorice, pencil shavings and spice are all finely sketched in a bold, savory Pauillac that hits all the right notes. The 2016 Pichon Comtesse has been riveting on each of the four occasions I have tasted it from barrel thus far, making it easily one of the wines of the vintage. Nicolas Glumineu and his team turned out an epic Pichon Comtesse in 2016. Don't miss it! (AG)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Deux Grenouilles" White Blend (97JD, 94RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Deux Grenouilles is another brilliant white from this estate. Based on 36% Roussanne, 29% Chardonnay, 23% Viognier, and the balance Petite Manseng and Muscat, brought up 48% new French oak (the balance is in neutral oak and concrete eggs). This rich, full-bodied, incredibly elegant white offers up a smorgasbord of buttered citrus, orange blossom, flower oil, and honeyed minerality. Despite being a full-bodied, powerful wine, it stays fresh and graceful, with terrific freshness and acidity. It needs a decant if drinking any time soon and should keep for a decade or more." (10/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - La Verdad" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad has a very deep purple-black color and reveals slightly subdued, youthful notes of crushed blueberries, warm black cherries and mulberries with hints of blackcurrant cordial, stewed black tea, wilted roses and fragrant soil. Wow—the palate explodes with very primary yet incredibly exciting, densely packed muscular black fruits, framed with a brick house of super ripe tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and incredibly cerebral. Yes, yes, yes! Drink through 2054. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Pierre Usseglio "Not For You" Chateauneuf-du-Pape (OWC - 100JD, 98RP, 97VN) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "There's a single barrel of the 2016 Châteauneuf Du Pape Not For You, which is 100% Grenache from the Les Serres lieu-dit from the oldest vines of the estate. It wasn’t destemmed and spent two years in a neutral barrel. It offers an incredible bouquet of kirsch, blackberries, incense, white flowers, garrigue and spice that develops beautifully with time in the glass. Rich, powerful, full-bodied, and concentrated, it nevertheless glides over the palate with no weight, ultra-fine tannins, and a singular, exotic, lengthy style." (08/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 98JD, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay CIX Estate is beguiling in its complexity and singularity, offering up scents of smoked nuts, waxed lemons, crushed rocks and coriander seed with hints of crusty bread, honeysuckle, baked peaches and clover honey. Full-bodied, full-on creamy and densely laden with layers of citrus and savory flavors, it has just enough freshness and wonderful length. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Larkmead "Dr. Olmo" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 95JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94VN, 94WS). James Suckling: "Impressive aromas of dried flowers, crushed blackberries and plums. Some sweet-tobacco undertones. Full-bodied, dusty and juicy with chewy tannins that are supple and savory, combining with the fruit. Flavorful and intense. So structured." (03/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Hall "Exzellenz" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, (91-94VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Exzellenz leaps from the glass with exuberant black cherry compote, blackberry pie and cassis notions with hints of preserved plums, spice cake, tobacco and bay leaves. Full-bodied with a solid foundation of firm, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, it delivers a muscular mid-palate and long, savory finish. (LPB)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Screaming Eagle "The Flight" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99JS, 98VN, 97RP, 96DC, 95JD) in original wood. James Suckling: "This is the best Flight I have ever had with so much merlot character coming through with black olives, hazelnuts, brown sugar and blackberries, as well as violets. Full-bodied yet linear and very long. Extremely refined and fresh. Needs a few years to come completely together, but already so refined. " (02/2019)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Kutch Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93WE, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This is made from the producer's several single-vineyard sites, including McDougall, Signal Ridge, Falstaff and Bohan. Concentrated flavors of black cherry and wild vanilla complement an earthy core of dried herb with an undeniable freshness on the midpalate and lengthy finish. (VB)" (06/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98JD, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr Crane Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is very deep garnet-black in color and gives a truly profound nose of chargrill, pencil lead, crushed rocks and tar with a core of crème de cassis, licorice, dark chocolate and mincemeat pie with wafts of cardamom and cumin seed. The powerful, full-bodied palate gives a firm, ripe structure to match the incredible concentration of fruit, finishing long and earthy. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JS, 98DC, 98RP, 96VN, 94WS). James Suckling: "Fantastic aromas that are complex and complete with blackcurrants, blueberries and herbs, such as basil and bay leaf. But always subtle. Full-bodied yet linear and very refined with a very persistent finish. It shows drive and brightness. So refined at the end. Needs at least three to five years to come together. " (02/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Rivers-Marie "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, (96-98RP), 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "A huge array of crème de cassis, blueberries, flowers, and spicy, sandalwood-like characteristics emerge from the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb, which has more than a passing resemblance to a great vintage of Château Margaux. Showing more tobacco and herbal characteristics with time in the glass, this full-bodied, multi-dimensional, seamless 2016 has everything you could want from a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy it over the coming 20-25+ years." (01/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Cheval Blanc, St-Émilion (100RP, 99JS, 98DC, 98VN, 97JD, 97WE, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cheval Blanc is blended of 59.5% Merlot, 37.2% Cabernet Franc and 3.3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple in color, the nose is incredibly youthful yet not so shy as some other 2016s at this stage, giving wonderfully intense scents of red currants, black cherries, wild blueberries and violets with nuances of star anise, cinnamon stick, rose hip tea, cigar box and wood smoke plus a touch of beef drippings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has jaw-dropping elegance and depth, offering up layer upon layer of fragrant red and black fruits plus an extraordinary array of mineral sparks, supported by a rock-solid grainy texture, finishing with epic persistence and an edifying perfume. This is a very different style from the rich, opulently hedonic 2015, yet this wonderfully fragrant, beautifully poised and intellectually compelling 2016 is equall

Bid on this bottle of 2016 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a relatively gravelly site compared to other parts of the To Kalon vineyard. Most of the fruit comes from vines aged 45 to 65 years old, with a little fruit coming from the younger section of 20-year-old vines. It was made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and no press wines were used, in order to maintain tannin quality. Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant black cherries, warm cassis, blueberry compote and chocolate box notes with touches of aged meat, yeast extract, chargrill and sautéed herbs with hints of pain grille and pencil lead. Full-bodied, the palate is an exercise in poise, with beautifully balanced, crushed black fruits and firm, very finely grained tannins plus a lovely backbone of seamless freshness, finishing epically long and savory with a slight mineral kick to the finish. (LPB)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Rätsel 16" California Syrah (100JD, 99RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Syrah Rastel 16 showed incredibly from barrel and it certainly doesn’t disappoint from bottle. Pure perfection in Syrah, this beauty boasts a deep purple hue as well as a stacked bouquet of ripe blackberries, cured meats, scorched earth, white pepper, white chocolate, and bacon fat. Deep, full-bodied, and massively concentrated, it builds incrementally on the palate, with ultra-fine tannins, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. I struggle to think of another wine that delivers this level of intensity without any sensation of weight or heaviness. The 2016s, in general, are relatively approachable, but nevertheless, do your best to hide bottles for 3-4 years." (10/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Dominus "Napanook" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JS, 93JD, 93RP, 92VN). James Suckling: "This is a flamboyant red that offers hazelnuts, dark berries and a hint of chocolate. Full-bodied with round and soft tannins. So fresh. So rich, enticing and layered." (11/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Kapcsandy "Roberta’s Reserve - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 98RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Another wine that flirts with perfection is the 100% Merlot 2016 Roberta's Reserve, which was harvested at the end of September and spent 20 months in 70% new barrels. I finished my note on this wine with "Best Merlot in the New World," and I can't think of another wine that comes close to the layered, balanced, majestic style of this beauty. Offering up a kaleidoscope of black cherries, damp earth, chocolate, cedarwood, and spring flowers, it's full-bodied and rich, yet just glides over the palate with a seamless, elegant, pure style that needs to be tasted to be believed. As with all the Kapcsandy wines, it has the purity and balance to offer pleasure in its youth yet is going to evolve beautifully." (01/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (97JD, (95-97RP), 97VN, 96WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Chardonnay Larry Hyde and Sons is so delicate, precise and nuanced. In 2016, the Hyde leans more towards the citrus end of the spectrum. Candied lemon peel and lifted floral notes are some of the signatures in this striking, beautifully delineated Chardonnay. In most vintages, Hyde tends to give a decidedly forward style of Chardonnay. Mark Aubert's 2016 is all finesse. (AG)" (04/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 97JD, 97RP, 95VN, 95WS). James Suckling: "This is really complex with spice, walnuts and blue fruits. Violets, too. Medium to full body. Starts slowly and grows on the palate. Gorgeous finish. This is very focused and complex. Drink after 2022. " (02/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Andremily "No. 5" Santa Barbara County Syrah ((98-100JD), 97RP, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Not yet bottled, the 2016 No. 5 is a similar blend and is 91% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre and 3% Viognier that will see just under two years in 70% new French oak. It offers slightly more stem characteristics with a La Mouline-like perfume of bacon fat, pepper, blackberries, earth, and chocolate. Deep, full-bodied, opulent and hedonistic, yet pure, elegant and structured, it's unquestionably another brilliant wine from Jim." (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Bevan "Tench Vineyard" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 97RP, 97VN, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is racy and layered in the glass, with all of the textural creaminess that makes wines from this part of Oakville so alluring. Plush fruit, silky tannins and soaring aromatics make for a truly compelling Cabernet Sauvignon. Mocha, dried herbs, tobacco, menthol, licorice and cedar meld into the sumptuous finish. Time in the glass brings out terrific freshness in the dark red and purplish berry fruit. The 2016 is every bit as memorable from bottle as it was from barrel. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 La Petite Église, Pomerol (OWC - 94DC, 93RP, 93VN, 92JD) in original wood. Decanter: "This has the power of Pomerol Merlot combined with an elegant flood of tannins. The stunning purity of Durantou wines is always striking, and they really do suit the freshness of the 2016 vintage. Here the tannins are making an impression on the close of play, but they never stand in the way of the freshness and juice of these cassis fruits. Just so elegant. 100% Merlot, picked on 5th October, aged in 50% new oak. (JA)" (04/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Tertre Rôteboeuf, St-Emilion (100VN, 99JD, (96-98RP)). Vinous: "The 2016 Tertre-Rôteboeuf is flat-out stunning and also one of the wines of the vintage. Rich, deep and explosive, the 2016 possesses remarkable depth and intensity from the very first taste. The 2016 is exotic, full-throttle and unapologetically hedonistic. At times, Tertre-Rôteboeuf can be a bit rough around the edges, but the 2016 is totally sublime. In a world in which so many wines are copycats, Tertre-Rôteboeuf is an original. And the 2016 is a great, emotionally moving Tertre-Rôteboeuf. This is a magnificent effort from François and Nina Mitjavile. Don't miss it! (AG)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92WS). Wine Spectator: "This is frankly ripe, showing waves of plum and boysenberry compote flavors gliding through, liberally laced with sweet singed vanilla bean and warm anise notes. Very polished in feel, the toast marrying nicely with the showy fruit on the finish. For fans of the style. Drink now through 2026. (JM)" (02/2019)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Kistler "Laguna Ridge Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96VN, 95JD, 94RP). Vinous: "The 2016 Pinot Noir Laguna Ridge (formerly Kistler Vineyard) is a racy, sensual wine. Lifted floral notes add shades of brightness to the red-toned fruit. Cedar, tobacco and iron develop later, bring further layers of nuance. I very much like the sense of energy here. This is typically the first fruit brought in at Kistler. (AG)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100JD, (97-99RP), 96VN, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a cooler site (it’s one of the last to be harvested), the 2016 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard is a perfect wine any way you look at it. Caramelized pineapple, marzipan, citrus, candle wax, and layers of complex Chardonnay fruit all flow to a beautifully pure, silky, perfectly balanced 2016 that has depth, freshness, complexity, and length. It develops even more complexity with time in the glass and is a brilliant effort from this estate. As with the other releases here, it was brought up in 80% new French oak." (06/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 100RP, 96VN, 95JS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is still very tight and youthful, slowly unfurling to reveal a multifaceted wine with tons of black, blue and red fruit sparks—plums, cherries, black currants and red currants—with dark chocolate, cedar chest, black tea and red roses in the background plus wafts of pencil lead and prosciutto. Medium-bodied and firmly textured by superbly ripe, grainy tannins, it has a fantastic core of intense, complex layers, finishing on an edifying mineral note. Wow! (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 98DC, 98JD) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2016 Screaming Eagle is a positively stunning wine. An intense bouquet gives way to a wine of explosive energy and huge textural depth. Graphite, crushed rocks, menthol, sage and dark spice open up gradually in this reticent, brooding Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2016 is a towering, statuesque wine of the very highest level. That is the good news. The slightly less good news is that it will need a number of years in bottle to be at its very best. I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. The 2016 literally does scream, with tons of varietal Cabernet aromatics, flavors and structural drive. In a word: magnificent! (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) ((96-98RP), 98VN, 97JD, 96W&S, 96WS). Vinous: "One of the highlights in this tasting, the 2016 Monte Bello has turned out just as beautifully as I hoped it would. Soaring aromatics, bright acids and mid-weight structure give the 2016 a super-classic feel. Clearly, the 2016 is very primary today, with plenty of bright red and purplish berry fruit. More than that, though, the 2016 pulses with energy and simply exceptional balance. Don't miss it! (AG)" (10/2019)

Bid on this 4-1L-bottle lot of 2016 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (92WS).
Starting Bid: $340.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from two acres of old vines planted in 1945 by John Daniel and dry farmed. Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with tantalizing notions of violets, lavender, Black Forest cake, mulberries, tobacco leaf and fragrant earth with a core of warm cassis, kirsch, Chinese five spice, rose hip tea and cedar chest. The palate is full-bodied and super concentrated yet possesses great energy with vibrant red and black fruits and loads of mineral accents, framed by very ripe, super fine-grained tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long with the most incredible perfume. Hedonistically, undeniably and deliciously perfect. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Kata "Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96VN, 95JS). Vinous: "Kata's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is absolutely gorgeous. Dark, ample and super-concentrated, the 2016 possesses superb depth not to mention tremendous pedigree. Inky blue and purplish berry fruit, licorice, spice, menthol and hard candy infuse this super-expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2016, the blend leans more heavily towards Cabernet Sauvignon than it has been in the past as some of the newer Cabernet plantings make it into the wine. As a result, the 2016 is not as distinctive as some previous editions, although it is hard to argue with the absolute quality of what is in the glass. The blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petite Sirah, aged in about 85% new oak. (AG)" (12/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (100JD, 99JS, 98RP, 98WE, 97VN, 97WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Reminding me of the 2010 with its incredible stature and class (as opposed to the more opulently styled 2009), the 2016 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a legendary wine from the genius of Bruno Borie, who has managed this estate brilliantly since he arrived in 2003. A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot brought up all in new oak, the 2016 has a mammoth bouquet of crème de cassis, espresso, camphor, crushed violets, toasty oak, and graphite. Full-bodied, concentrated, and backward on the palate, it nevertheless has perfectly integrated acidity and building tannins, a concentrated, layered texture, off-the-charts purity of fruit, and a finish that won't quit. Give this powerful, concentrated wine a solid 7-8 years of bottle age and enjoy it over the following 50 years or more." (02/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Rhys "Horseshoe Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (99JD, 97RP, 96JG, 96VN, 93BH). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the highlights in this report is unquestionably the 2016 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard Hillside, which is in the running for one of the greatest Pinot Noirs I’ve ever tasted from California. A thrilling bouquet of blackcurrants, crushed rocks, chocolate, and Asian spices all flow to a rich, powerful wine that doesn’t pull any punches with regard to depth of fruit or structure. While most 2016s have some upfront charm and accessibility, that’s not the case here, and this needs a solid 4-5 years of bottle age. It’s a magical wine, though, and readers should beg, borrow, or steal to get a hold of it." (02/2018)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2016 Kutch ''Bohan Vineyard'' Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94WE, 93DC, 92JG). Wine Enthusiast: "A light delicate wine, this features earthy mint, clove and cinnamon stick aromas and flavors within a focused, elegant package of expansive berry and citrus fruit. The acidity is persistent and refreshing, allowing for aspects of brine and flint to shine wildly through. (VB)" (06/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Alpha Omega Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Petit Verdot. Alpha Omega is a boutique wine producer in Napa Valley's Rutherford AVA, producing a range of wines with help from international winemaking consultant Michel Rolland. Alpha Omega uses grapes from all over the Napa Valley, producing both single-vineyard and blended wines. Winery note: "Cabernet Franc, the quiet and deep father of Cabernet Sauvignon, finds the perfect match in the strong and powerful Petit Verdot in our blend of these two Bordeaux varietals. Fruit from the valley floor, hillside and mountain are featured in this winning combination. 2016 produced a balanced vintage, allowing our Winemaker to add more strength to this wine by leaning heavier on Petit Verdot than in previous vintages of this blend. We expect the Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot to once again be a favorite among our Wine Club members and staff."

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Bevan "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend ((97-100RP), 97JD, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard (a barrel sample) gives up profoundly ripe, expressive black berry and cassis scents with underlying chocolate box and spice cake hints plus wafts of roses and dried herbs. Full-bodied, rich, ripe and full on full throttle when it comes to flavors, it has a firm, fine-grained backbone and an epically long finish. (LPB)" (12/2017)

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #10" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC - (95-97JD), 96WE, 95RP, 94JS, 93VN, 93WS) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "Only released in magnum, the 2016 Syrah Wallah Wallah Special #10 is always a mysterious blend of multiple vineyards. It has beautiful complexity in its ripe black cherry and cassis fruits, iodine, tobacco, ashtray, and earthy/peat moss-like aromas and flavors. This gives way to a full-bodied, concentrated Syrah that has bright acidity, loads of fruit, and a focused, juicy style that’s going to benefit from short-term cellaring. 95-97+" (04/2018)
