Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Hermitage is as profound as they come. Inky in color, with incredible kirsch, blackberry liqueur, flowers, licorice and hints of underlying meatiness, it hits the palate with a full-bodied, massively concentrated profile that has nothing out of place, seamless integration of its fruit, alcohol and tannin, and an overriding elegant, perfectly balanced feel. Drink it anytime over the coming three decades. Jean Louis’ two 2003 Hermitages should be on everyone’s bucket list of wines to try at least once (preferably more) in their life. They both represent the essence of Hermitage and are as good as wine gets. (JD)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (96RP, 95JS, 95WS, 93WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Still fresh and exuberant, it is just entering its plateau of full maturity where it should remain for 10-15+ years. Drink through 2029. (RP)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers" (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. High-toned, expressive aromas of red fruits, flowers, spices, earth, meat and nutty oak. Silky, spicy and pungent, with lively flavors of strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb. Very suave and light on its feet. Finishes with dusty, broad, firm-edged tannins and excellent length. Faiveley was an early picker in 2003, as he is most years, and this wine would be difficult to identify as coming from a hot year. (ST)" (03/2006)

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2003 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro (96RP, 95WS, 94WE, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Numanthia was fashioned from yields of one ton of fruit per acre (from a clone of Tempranillo that often has the highest polyphenols of any Tempranillo clone). This cuvee is made from 70- to 100-year-old vines planted at a 2,300 foot elevation, which no doubt accounts for the freshness in this massively rich, intense red. A vivid, intense nose of espresso roast, pain grille, sweet black cherries, and creme de cassis is followed by a full-bodied, intensely-concentrated, rich, well-delineated, moderately structured, pure red that can be drunk young or cellared for a decade. (RP)" (08/2006)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (98JS, 96VN, 95WE, 94ST, 93RP, 93WS, 92DC). James Suckling: "A dense and powerful wine as always with very ripe fruit yet an underlying freshness and complexity with tobacco, dried fruit and fresh spices such as lemon grass and Thai basil. Layered and long. " (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The top wine here is the classic 2003 Claret, a gorgeously proportioned, opaque purple-colored effort boasting a big, sweet nose of smoky meats, creme de cassis, coffee, and dark plums. Dense and opulent, with superb concentration, full body, high glycerin, decent acidity, and ripe tannin, this a superb mouthful of wine … (RP)" (12/2005)
