Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (100JD, 100JS, 99DC, 99JG, 99VN, 98WE, 97RP, 97WS). James Suckling: "Disgorged October 2016 and will be the first Cristal to be released ten years from harvest when it is offered in 2018. 35 parcels used from a possible 45 in this vintage. The assemblage is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. This is so fresh and tense and mineral with extremely exuberant Chardonnay notes on the nose of white peach, lemon and yellow grapefruit, and hints of almost brambly sous bois aromas. The yeast characters are also super fresh, and there are subtle woody notes, with a hint of vanilla bean and light spices. The palate is super long, and very pure, powerful and focused. It drives deep and taut. Pinot Noir is a strong core and the Chardonnay sits at the edge offering lemon and white nectarine sorbet flavors. Staggeringly concentrated, yet the balance makes it seem airy and light. Acidity is perfectly positioned, and the power is i

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Champagne (Gift Box - 97JS, 97WE, 96VN, 95DC, 94W&S, 94WS) in original gift box. Wine Enthusiast: " The Bollinger R.D. (recently disgorged) is Bollinger's answer to a prestige cuvée. Keeping the wine long on its lees (this was disgorged in June 2006) yields a wine that is very much in the rich Bollinger style. This is a beautifully balanced wine, with acidity, intensity and structure in perfect harmony. It is still so young, and certainly could age for years. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (11/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 1988 Krug Brut Champagne (98WS, 97VN). Wine Spectator: "A superb Champagne and still youthful. Honey, ginger, lemon confit, coffee and mineral aromas and flavors come to mind, all kept focused by a firm, tightly wound structure. The finish is where its pedigree shines through, lingering like warm gingerbread and coffee. (BS)" (10/2003)

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Philipponnat "Clos des Goisses" Brut Champagne (97BH, 96W&S, 95ST, 93RP, 91WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "One of the greatest examples of the '96 vintage, this wine has it all with elegance, intensity, subtlety and grace, not to mention buckets of unrealized potential that will enable this beauty to improve for at least another decade and perhaps longer. I can only imagine just how good this would be from magnum format! The nose is discreet, reserved and pure with lemon, green apple and layers upon layers of fruit framed by just the right amount of yeast influence that continues onto the exceptionally dry and tight flavors that are crisp and refined as well as superbly intense yet through it all there is this underlying sense of harmony, as though all of the elements are working in concert. The greatest wines, at least those cut from classical cloth, persuade through the subtlest means and so it is with the '96 Goisses, which is indeed a great wine by any m

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (97DC, 97VN, 96JD, 96RP, 95WE, 94BH, 94WS, 92CG). Vinous: "The 2006 Comtes de Champagne is striking, especially in the way it brings together elements of ripeness and freshness in a hypothetical blend of the 2002 and 2004. Smooth and creamy on the palate, the 2006 is all about texture. There is a real feeling of density and weight in the 2006, qualities I expect to see grow with time in the bottle. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. The 2006 has been nothing short of magnificent both times I have tasted it. Comtes de Champagne remains the single best value (in relative terms) in tête de cuvée Champagne. I suggest buying a case and following it over the next 20-30 years, which is exactly what I intend to do. There is little doubt the 2006 Comtes de Champagne is a magical Champagne in the making. Bid on this bottle of 1996 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (98JS, 97BH, 97RP, 97WE, 96JG, 96W&S, 95VN, 95WS, 93DC). James Suckling: "Incredible freshness and tightness with fantastic acidity and minerality. Full-bodied, compacted and intense. Flinty! Then light yeast and bread dough. Superb. In suspended animation! " (03/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of Vouette et Sorbée Fidèle Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Champagne. Antonio Galloni writes: "Bertrand Gautherot crafts gorgeous, handmade wine loaded with personality. The Vouette et Sorbee Champagnes are rich, full-bodied wines built on meticulous vineyard work and a non-interventionalist, Burgundian-inspired approach in the cellar."

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Krug Brut Champagne (100JG, 100JS, 100W&S, 100WE, 99DC, 97BH, 97RP, 96WS, 94VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a fabulous wine from the greatest Champagne vintage so far this century. Still young, it blends almost equal amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fleshed out with Pinot Meunier. The minerality and the rich apple and green fruits are balanced, and acidity cuts into the wine with a pure, perfumed line of freshness. The wine could be drunk now, but it will age well into the the 2020s. *2016 100 Cellar Selection No. 1* (RV)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Salon Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil Champagne (Gift Box - 100WE, 99JS, 97VN, 97WS) in original gift box. Wine Enthusiast: "The 35th and most recent vintage of Salon since the house was founded in 1905 is memorable and magnificent. Made only from Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, it combines intense minerality, a crisp textured core and the beginnings of maturity. The depths of this wine, with its layers of fruit and steeliness, are superb. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (12/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (98RP, 97JS, 95W&S, 95WE, 94VN, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Champagnes I have ever brought to my lips, the 1999 Cristal bursts from the glass with fresh hazelnut and apple scents. Elegant, deep, and silky-textured, this medium to full-bodied beauty is immensely concentrated, pure, packed with apple flavors, and astoundingly long in the finish. Louis Roederer does not display a disgorgement date or consumer friendly lot number on its non-vintage Brut. This is regrettable as it has consistently been one of the finer bottlings in this category. (PR)" (12/2005)

Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of Krug "Grande Cuvée" Brut Champagne (375ml) (96JS, 95DC, 95RP, 95WS, 94VN, 94W&S, 94WE). James Suckling: "A very complex nose here with ripe, deep lemon and grapefruit aromas on offer plus some restrained chalky elements, biscuit, some roasting herbs, hints of pepper, then a little tobacco too. Very complex and full of fresh characters. The palate has a wealth of different fruit flavors like lemon, peach, nectarine, and plums. The finesse in terms of structure, detail and precision is staggering; sherbet-like elegance with immense concentration and power. A great Grande Cuvée. Incredibly satisfying." (07/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Jacquesson "Champs Cain" Avize Brut Champagne (96JS, 95RP, 93VN). James Suckling: "Very attractive fresh yeasty bread dough notes. Really impressive freshness on this long aged Blanc de Blanc, with chalky lemon and lime essence, some amazing finesse and aromatic purity here. The palate has a wealth of layering, texturally superior. It has impressive build and depth, and acidity sits under richly flavorsome lemon and peach fruit. Long, fine and focused with contained power. Drink now or for five or more years." (07/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Krug Brut Champagne (98W&S, 97BH, 97ST, 97WS, 95JG, 95RP, 95WE). Wine & Spirits: "When I tasted this wine pre-release last year, it already showed itself to be great. Now with the benefit of an additional year of age, it may be the greatest Krug I've tasted. The wine has perfect harmony, all the elements in balance, a complex chord of flavor that lasts more than a minute after each sip. There's not much to say when a wine's internal energy and drive are so in tune with the flavors. Buy it if you can. Now 15 years old, it may have another 15 more to go without slowing down." (12/2005)
