Bid on this bottle of 1995 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "At the winery, I rated the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate one point below what I gave it in the blind tasting. Nevertheless, my notes on both tastings are nearly identical. This is another winery where the 1995 may be as strong as the 1994. The color is an opaque purple. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, with classic notes of cassis intermixed with loamy soil scents, underbrush, and spice. There is massive body and elevated, but sweet tannin that is well-integrated with the wine's other components, a blockbuster mid-palate, and a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2025. Modern-day society seems to always be in search of new stars, but this winery has been a super hero for great California Cabernet Sauvignon for nearly 25 years! Montelena's Estate Cabernet Sauvignons are equivalent to buying blue chip stock. They get bett

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Turley "Duarte" Contra Costa County Zinfandel (90VN, 90WS). Vinous: "Turley's 2011 Zinfandel Duarte is all about texture. Mocha, plums, spices, leather and licorice notes flesh out in a wine that shows surprising depth and volume in this vintage. A creamy, expressive finish rounds things out nicely. The Duarte is a blend of three parcels in Contra Costa, the youngest of which was planted in the 1940s. This is one of the more immediate, juicy wines in the range. (AG)" (11/2013)

Of the 1999 d'Armailhac, Pauillac,Wine Spectator writes: "Flowers, sweet tobacco and berries on the nose follow through to a full body, with silky tannins and a medium finish. Lovely mouthfeel. Lots of life ahead here, but delicious now. Still one of the best buys of the vintage. (Web Only- 2010)"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 L'Aventure "Estate" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 94RP, 93ST, 90CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "Made from 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon offers textbook notes of blackcurrants, plums, cedary spice, and violets. Full-bodied and concentrated, like the Côte à Côte , it's seamless on the palate, with perfectly integrated tannins. It's another gorgeous wine from Stephan. " (07/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Gramercy "The Third Man" Columbia Valley Rhône Blend (94WE, 92RP, 92ST, 92W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "Grenache and Syrah are the mainstays here, with a splash of Mourvèdre completing the Third Man blend. For the first time, Uplands contributes some of the fruit. It’s immensely fragrant, fruity, peppery and rich with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, cherry and plum. There is nothing simple here; scents and flavors compound and linger, and the more you look, the more you find. *Editor's Choice* " (03/2014)

Of the 2008 Drinkward Peschon "Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Meres wraps around the palate with serious depth and power. Plums, mocha, espresso and spices all jump from the glass in this sexy, voluptuous wine. Round, sweet and inviting, the 2008 Entre Deux Meres captures the best qualities of the year. Although not super-complex, the 2008 is flat out delicious and incredibly appealing. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 K Vintners "The Hidden - Northridge Vineyard" Wahluke Slope Syrah (98RP, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most impressive Syrahs from Washington is Smith's The Hidden, which comes all from the Northridge Vineyard on the Wahluke slope. The 2012 Syrah The Hidden Northridge Vineyard certainly doesn't disappoint and has jaw-dropping good notes of black and blue fruits, ground pepper, violets, lavender and smoked meats that flow seamlessly to a voluptuously textured, full-bodied, still young and yet evolved Syrah that will benefit from short-term cellaring, and have 15 years or more of overall longevity. This is truly spectacular. As usual, this was a massive lineup by Washington's wild man, Charles Smith. Despite the larger-than-life persona, these wines are dead serious and are always some of the best I'm able to taste from the state. All of the Rhone varieties see 100% whole cluster, native fermentations and aging in mostly neutral

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Delas Frères "Francois de Tournon" St-Joseph (94RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 St.-Joseph Francois de Tournon is showing even better than it did last year out of barrel. An inky/purple color is followed by notes of graphite, smoke, blackberries, cassis, road tar and truffles. With layers of fruit, an unctuous texture and tremendous purity and depth, this stunning effort is a great sleeper of this fabulous northern Rhone vintage. It should drink well for 10-15 years or longer. (RP)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Tor Kenward Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 93ST). James Suckling: "This shows a gorgeous balance of fruit, firm tannins and tension. Lovely plum, grilled orange and berry. Subtle, complex wine. About 40% Cimarossa Vineyard, 40% Mast Vineyard and 20% Ta Kalon. Drink or hold." (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90JS, 90WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This is the winery’s basic Cabernet Sauvignon, but it shows the depth and complexity of their more expensive bottlings. This really exemplifies Napa’s rich, smooth tannins and dramatically ripe black currant, anise and dark chocolate flavors. The vineyards that contributed to the blend are some of the valley’s best. It’s a blend of all five classic Bordeaux varieties, with 1% Syrah." (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (90RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A charming, lush, round, generous Lynch Bages, the 1999 offers plenty of sweet black currant fruit, damp earth, licorice, cedarwood and spicy herb-like characteristics. Medium-bodied, savory and broad in the mouth with no hard edges, this fully mature effort is a somewhat underrated vintage for this estate. (RP)" (08/2011)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Antinori "Pian delle Vigne" Brunello di Montalcino (97WS, 93WE). Wine Spectator: "Very rich and plummy, with lots of mineral and floral undertones. Full, fresh and very powerful, with big, yet silky tannins and a long aftertaste of cherry and spices. Very, very long. Still needs time. (JS, Web Only-2007)"
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Medoc (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium ruby. Spicy aromas of blackberry and minerals. Juicy and penetrating, with lively flavors of black fruits, licorice and game. Less dense and silky than the '99 or '00, and perhaps more classic in its precision. Finishes with firm tannins, and subtle, lingering finishing flavors." (05/2001)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 K Vintners "Stoneridge Vineyard" Washington Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Beringer "Luminus" Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley Chardonnay (93VN, 93WE, 91WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Chardonnay Luminus is terrific in this vintage. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper are front and center. The decision to partially block the malolactic fermentation results in a Chardonnay endowed with striking nuance and energy. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. (AG)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (98WS). Wine Spectator: "Absolutely gorgeous nose, with plum, Indian spices and blackberry. Full-bodied, with lots of dark chocolate, spices and vanilla. This is so young. Wonderfully silky and refined. I always loved the mint, berry and spice character in this wine and the layers of fruit and fine tannins. Amazing.--1997 Italian blind retrospective. Best from 2009 through 2020. (JS, Web Only-2007)"
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Booker "RLF" Paso Robles Pinot Noir (95RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A change up from the 100% Grenache cuvees of the past, the 2014 RLF is 100% Pinot Noir, and it's a damn good one as well. Sporting a deeper ruby color and offering up overflowing notes of black raspberries, toasted spice, sweet oak, forest floor and a touch of marine-like saltiness, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, sexy, seamless and layered on the palate, with a terrific finish. Hats off to winemaker Eric Jensen, who's known as a Syrah and Grenache guy, for this smokin' effort. It should drink nicely through 2024 (although there's no need to hold off). As I've commented in the past, the wines from Eric Jensen at Booker are some of the most impressive releases coming out of California. While in the past, they relied on pure fruit and texture to impress, today they possess layered, elegant and complex characters paired with serious depth, richness and structure. While

Bid on this bottle of 1991 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(5 g/l total acidity; 13% alcohol): Dark ruby-red with a garnet rim. Deep herbal nuances complement dark berry and cocoa aromas. Then rich and ripe in the mouth, with dark fruit and tar flavors offering excellent balance and a bright, lively texture. This lovely wine finishes bright and clean, with a lingering mineral note and an increasingly rich texture. (ID)" (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Torrin "Akasha" Paso Robles Syrah (93ST, 91RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Glass-staining purple. Powerful aromas of black raspberry and cassis, with complicating notes of smoked meat, candied lavender and minerals. Deeply pitched, velvety and assertively flavored, with a deep dark berry preserve character enlivened by a strong kick of cracked pepper on the back. Turns spicier on the finish, leaving behind floral pastille, spicecake and licorice notes. This potent wine has the energy of Pinot Noir." (11/2011)
