Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Lafage "Nicolas" Grenache Noir Côtes Catalanes Vieilles Vignes (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Proprietor and winemaker Jean-Marc Lafage has fashioned a knock-out red wine that sells for a ridiculously low price. Made from 100% Grenache aged six months on its lees in older barrels, the 2010 Cuvee Nicolas Vieilles Vignes reveals serious glycerin along with a sexy, open-knit, fruit-forward style with oodles of raspberry, black currant, cherry and kirsch liqueur characteristics. Medium-bodied, round, supple, heady and succulent, this is a big, lusty red for true hedonists. It is one of the finest 100% Grenache cuvees currently on the market at this price point and quality level. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Trust me. I have not lost my mind or my palate even though I have given a $12 wine (which often can be found for even less) a 92 point score! (RP)" (06/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Dominio de Pingus "Flor de Pingus" Ribera del Duero (94JS, 94VN, 92RP, 91WS). Vinous: "Vivid purple. Ripe cherry, cassis, potpourri and cracked pepper on the intensely perfumed nose, with subtle licorice and woodsmoke qualities adding complexity. Deep, sweet and expansive, offering explosive dark berry compote, floral pastille and anise flavors. A spicy quality gains strength on the finish, which leaves smoke and mineral notes behind. This bottling has been going from strength to strength in recent years and offers superb value relative to its ritzy Pingus sibling. (JR)" (09/2012)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir Hemel-en-Aarde Valley (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sublime 2010 Pinot Noir is aged for 10 months in oak, of which 44% was new and the remainder used. It has a ripe bouquet of redcurrant, strawberry and Morello that shows no signs of under-ripeness that Hamilton’s Pinots occasionally exhibit due to leaf-roll. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe fleshy redcurrant and cranberry fruit that is underpinned by extremely fine tannins. This has wonderful build in the mouth and the finish is exuberant, almost feisty! This is an audacious Pinot Noir from one of South Africa’s top estates. Drink now-2020. (NM)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Syrah (94JD, 94ST, 94VN, 92JG). Vinous: "The 2010 Syrah Horseshoe Vineyard was made from fruit harvested in November, not unusual in this cool, drawn-out growing season. Blackberry jam, cloves, menthol and licorice flesh out in a textured, deeply expressive wine endowed with tons of pure class. The 2010 was made with 100% whole clusters. Malolactic fermentation took place in tank and the wine was subsequently aged in neutral oak barrels. This is a fabulous effort in a very challenging vintage. (AG)" (07/2013)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Hirsch Vineyards "San Andreas Fault" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93WE, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Dry and tart in acidity, this Pinot Noir offers cherry-skin-like tannins that give the palate a brittle sensation. Give it 5-6 years to let the raspberry and cherry flavors meld with the notes of oak and mineral. It should last the next 15 years, gradually losing its fruit and gaining earthy, mushroomy complexities. *Cellar Selection* " (04/2013)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Chandon de Briailles Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Lavieres" ((90-92BH), 91ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This steps up the aromatic refinement while keeping the complexity with its broad nose of red berry fruit that evidence nuances of underbrush, stone and warm earth. There is good richness but also good cut and plenty of underlying tension to the medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a linear, balanced and vibrant finish. Lovely." (04/2012)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Tor Kenward Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 93ST). James Suckling: "This shows a gorgeous balance of fruit, firm tannins and tension. Lovely plum, grilled orange and berry. Subtle, complex wine. About 40% Cimarossa Vineyard, 40% Mast Vineyard and 20% Ta Kalon. Drink or hold." (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Lail Vineyards "J. Daniel Cuvée" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN, 93ST, 91DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship wine, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon J. Daniel Cuvee is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from two sources, 73% from the Dutch Henry Canyon area in Calistoga and 27% from Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville. This wine spent 19 months in three-fourths new French oak. A sensational effort, it reveals copious notes of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, mulberries, black currants, licorice and charcoal. This beautifully crafted, full-bodied Cabernet possesses impressive delineation and a long finish with moderate tannin as well as decent acidity for vibrancy. Approachable now, it should continue to drink well for at least a quarter of a century. (RP)" (10/2013)
