Potent, mineral-laced dark berry, cherry and licorice aromas are complemented by hints of cola, mocha and candied flowers. Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2007 Alois Kracher Welschriesling TBA #7 Zwischen den Seen (375ml) (95VN). Vinous: "Medium golden yellow. Sharply defined aromas and flavors of apple and pear. Unctuous in its texture, with flavors of lemon verbena and prune and a subtle note of sponge cake. In spite of its extreme sweetness, this round wine is quite juicy thanks to a solid core of acidity and plenty of chalky minerals. Has a long and very promising life ahead of it. (PM)" (11/2009)

Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2002 Alois Kracher Welschriesling TBA #8 Zwischen den Seen (375ml) (93VN). Vinous: "Medium yellow-gold. The nose is somewhat more closed than that of the No. 5 Scheurebe but displays more of the honey and currant aromas typical of the variety, along with dried pear and fresh herbs. Highly concentrated, juicy flavors of blood orange and dried fruits persist impressively on the aftertaste. This wine displays the old slightly oxidative style in a positive way, which is how the scheurebe has been at its best for decades in the Seewinkel. (PM)" (11/2005)

Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2005 Alois Kracher "Grande Cuvée #7" Trockenbeerenauslese Burgenland (375ml) (94VN, 93WS). Vinous: "Nothing really sticks out in the 2005 #7 Grand Cuvée Trockenbeerenauslese Nouvelle Vague, a wine that is first and foremost about total balance. The style is rich, layered and sumptuous. Apricot jam, cloves and orange peel are supported by lovely beams of acidity. I am not sure the 2005 will improve materially from here, but it might very well keep at this gorgeous plateau for a number of years. Today, it is striking. (AG)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this bottle of 1978 Krohn Colheita Port. Colheita is the term used to indicate a tawny port from one vintage, and it offers something that no 20- or 30-year old, non-vintage tawny can, even one of the highest quality. What does it offer, you ask? Distinctiveness. The 1978 Krohn, made from a very small harvest in a rather difficult year, is a rich mahogany color with pronounced nuttiness on the nose and a silky texture. Wonderful with triple crème cheese. Divine with crème brulee.

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Pott "La Carte et Le Territoire" St. Helena Merlot-Cabernet Franc (94VN, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2012 La Carte et Le Territoire, Pott's Left Bank-inspired Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend. Texturally seamless and silky, the 2012 wraps around the palate with sumptuous fruit and fabulous depth. Hints of mocha, espresso and grilled herbs flesh out, but it is the wine's overall balance and the expressiveness of the Franc that really stands out. This is a striking wine from Aaron Pott. Concentrated and thick, yet lighter than air, this sweetie combines apricot, caramel and vanilla flavors with a velvety texture and vibrant acidity. Picks up a smoky note on the finish. Beautifully done. (BS)" (06/2001)

Bid on this magnum of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (1.5L) (98RP, 98VN, 97DC, 95ST). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon Rosé is a tremendous example of this vintage at its very best. A Champagne of vertical thrust and intensity, the 2002 is rich, opulent and hedonistic from the very first taste. Readers should expect a Rosé built on a huge core of fruit. Rose petal, passion fruit and exotic flowers add shades of dimension to the wine’s decidedly flamboyant personality. What a wine! (AG)" (07/2018)
Starting Bid: $725.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 1994 Taylor Vintage Port (375ml) (100JS, 100WS, 99WE, 97RP). James Suckling: "This is, to date, the greatest Vintage Port ever from here. It overwhelmed me years ago when I tasted it from barrel, but only now is it crossing gradually into its drinking window. The intensity is still mind-boggling here, with sweet-and-sour notes as well as mounds of clay. There are violets lurking somewhere too. A full-bodied, medium sweet and sublime Vintage Port, showing forest fruits and freshly picked blackberries on the palate in the form of a creamy, focused and tannic texture." (10/2012)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998, 2004 & 2006 Alois Kracher Scheurebe TBA Zwischen den Seen Half-Bottle Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 1998 Alois Kracher Scheurebe TBA #12 Zwischen den Seen (375ml) (93RP, 93WS), 1-bottle of 2004 Alois Kracher Scheurebe TBA # 10 Zwischen den Seen (375ml) (98RP, 97ST, 97WE, 95WS), and 1-bottle of 2006 Alois Kracher Scheurebe TBA #11 Zwischen den Seen (375ml) (97ST, 97VN, 97WE, 96RP). Of the 2004 Alois Kracher Scheurebe TBA # 10 Zwischen den Seen (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2004 #10 Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese Zwischen den Seen is a lip-smacking elixir of Scheurebe, a kaleidoscopic and vivacious tribute to noble rot as only Alois Kracher could render. A sensational concentration of lime, pink grapefruit, pineapple, cassis, sage, and peppermint in the nose is joined on the slick, buttery-rich (yet always lively) palate by deep peach and peach kernel, persimmon, brown spices, and salt. It almost goes without saying that the she

Bid on this magnum of 1982 Figeac, St. Emilion (1.5L) (94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is actually a younger, more concentrated wine than the 1990. A dense plum/garnet color with a slight lightening at the edge is followed by a sensational Figeac nose of mint, fruitcake, Asian spices, gobs of sweet black and red fruits, and a smoky component in the background. Medium to full-bodied with lovely freshness, this 1982 appears to be fully mature, but it tasted the same a decade ago, and it should hold at this level for another 10-20 years." (06/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Paolo Bea "Pipparello" Montefalco Rosso Riserva. Vinous: "The 2006 Montefalco Rosso Riserva Pipparello bursts from the glass with super-ripe dark cherries, tobacco, licorice, spices and flowers. This is a bold, racy Pipparrello made in an opulent, almost extravagant style for this house buffered by firm yet attractive tannins. The aromas and flavors built towards a rustic, meaty finish. Nevertheless, there is plenty to admire and certainly much to talk about in this eccentric Umbrian red. The Pipparello is 60% Sangiovese, 25% Montepulciano and 15% Sagrantino. (AG)" (05/2011)

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2007 Rayne-Vigneau, Sauternes (375ml) ((91-93RP), 93WE, (89-92ST), 92WS). 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "A wine that is bright with the freshest orange and lemon flavors, followed by liquid honey and fine apricots. It is perhaps light, but certainly delicious." (06/10) 92 points Wine Spectator: "There's loads of sliced green apple and pineapple on the nose, with spices. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with toasted almond and botrytis spice character, followed by a cooked apple and citrus finish. Dense and beautiful. Best after 2013." (03/10) 91-93 points Robert Parker: "This has a rounded nose of apple-blossom, honey, peach and a touch of elderflower. Good definition although it could do with more vivacity. The palate is medium-bodied, good acidity with a certain delicacy and sophistication to it. Lively and zesty towards the finish. Crisp, minerally towards the finish that is streamlined and economical. Good length. Drink 2010-2025. Tasted April 2008." (0
