Bid on this bottle of 1995 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((93-96RP), 96ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the greatest wines of the vintage, Vogue's Musigny Vieilles Vignes, reminded me of Chateau Margaux at its best: an iron fist in a velvet glove. How anything can be this massive, powerful, and robust and yet be strikingly elegant and refined. Possessing a dark ruby color and an amazingly spicy, floral (roses) and black fruit-filled nose, this stupendous Burgundy has a thick, almost viscous, velvety texture, with copious quantities of fat, chewy, red berries. Surprisingly, the fruit almost tastes stewed yet is perfectly and clearly delineated. Complex, intensely deep and buttressed with huge but ripe tannins, this wine should be at its plateau of maturity between 2006 and 2016. Bravo! (PR)" (06/1997)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 & 2011 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2006 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92ST) and 1-bottle of 2011 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94CG, 94WE, 92VN, 91RP, 91ST). Of the 2006 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "From another outstanding vineyard, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard’s scorched earth/burning ember, blueberry, graphite, and black currant characteristics are reminiscent of a top Bordeaux such as La Mission Haut-Brion. Dense, full-bodied and chewy with fabulous concentration, sweet tannins, and remarkable length, this profound Cabernet Sauvignon should last for 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1980 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "1980 was a longer, cooler growing season, producing wines of moderate alcohol and great freshness. Medium to deep brick colored, the 1980 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Georges de Latour opens with provocative cherry cordial, vanilla pod and cardamom scents over a core of mincemeat pie, dried lavender, black tea and camphor plus a touch of bacon fat. Medium-bodied with just 13% alcohol, the mouth is firmly textured with ripe, grainy tannins, lively acid and layers of pure dried berries and exotic spices, finishing on a mint tea note. With the fruit and tannins still hanging in there, there's no great rush to drink well-preserved bottles of this vintage. (LPB)" (05/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2002 Dominio de Atauta, Ribera del Duero (89ST). 89 points Stephen Tanzer: "Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, violet pastille and a whiff of tar on the nose. Texture currently stunted by sulfur but the flavors of blackberry and violet pastille offer lovely purity-not to mention impressive ripeness and intensity for the year. Finishes with tongue-dusting tannins." (September/October 04)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Hestan "Stephanie" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS). 93 points from Wine Spectator: "A complex, rich and creamy-textured style, with layers of currant, mocha, wild berry and vanilla-laced oak, all folding together nicely. Tightly focused, long and persistent, with an excellent balance of tannins and acidity. Best from 2009 through 2015. 930 cases made." (06/08)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Sine Qua Non "E & M" Sta. Rita Hills Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2015 Sine Qua Non "E" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 100VN, 98JD) and 1-bottle of 2015 Sine Qua Non "M" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (99JD, 99RP, 98VN). Of the 2015 Sine Qua Non "E" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache ,Vinous writes: "The 2015 Grenache E, from Elaine and Manfred Krankl’s Eleven Confessions Vineyard, is stunningly beautiful. Remarkably light on its feet for such a sumptuous wine, the 2015 has so much to offer. Beautifully expressive aromatics make a strong opening impression. Dark red and purplish berry fruit, mint, sweet spice and licorice develop with air, but it is the wine’s overall feel that stands out most. At times, the E is quite powerful, while in other moments it is much more delicate. That contrast makes for an utterly captivating wine. (AG)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin "Aux Echézeaux" Vieille Vigne ((90-92RP), (88-91BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Aux Chezeaux, which Jean-Marie told me used to be a Premier Cru prior to the war, has a billowing bouquet of cranberry and red cherry fruit. The palate is succulent on the entry with fleshy strawberry and raspberry, a touch of soy on the back palate, lending fine delineation and sense of energy on the finish. Village cru flirting with premier cru quality? This is seriously good. (NM)" (12/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Point Rouge offers up plenty of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, pineapple and baked brioche notes, subtle oak, and a wonderfully multi-dimensional, prodigious mouthfeel and length. This super-intense Chardonnay is exquisite and a tour de force in winemaking. Drink it over the next decade or more. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (97RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The larger production cuvée (1,748 cases) is the 2013 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation site that's above the fog line, roughly eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its deep ruby color is followed by to-die-for notes of black raspberries, crushed violets, cassis, spice and toasted bread. Utterly perfect on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, an ethereal, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, fine tannin and crazy length, hats off to the team at CIRQ for this singular beauty. Give bottles a few years (if you can resist) and enjoy over the following decade or more. (JD)" (09/2016)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Beau Vigne "Juliet" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 90ST). 93 points from Robert Parker: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Juliet (a 770-case blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc), while essentially a second wine, is a gorgeous effort. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful aromas of blackberries, black currants, coffee beans, cedar, and toasty oak, a wine with vivid fruit, an expansive, savory mouthfeel, sweet tannin, and a long finish. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more." (12/08) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright ruby. Aromatic nose offers cassis, graphite, pepper and spices. Supple and lush, with lovely sweetness to the expressive flavors of black raspberry, currant and pepper. Finishes sweetly oaky, ripe and persistent." (May/June '09)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hidden Ridge "Impassable Mountain Reserve" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This has intensely concentrated flavors of black currant, blueberry preserves, violet, vanilla and buttered toast; it’s as delicious as any Cabernet out there. The structure shows firm tannins and fine acidity, true to its mountainous origins. Keep this in your cellar for at least six years, and as many as 20." (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $82.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1974 Burgess "Vintage Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is Burgess' best cabernet, and in spectacular cabernet vintages such as 1974, it really shines. Mature and subdued at 45 years of age, it would be a very special treat for a friend's 45th birthday.
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1974 Sterling "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Patience has never been one of my virtues, but after twenty years this wine still seems formidable, and oh so backward and tough. I am beginning to think the tannin will ultimately win the battle between the wine's fruit and structure. The color remains an impressive saturated plum/garnet, with only a hint of amber at the edge. The tight nose reluctantly offers up earthy, truffle-like scents intertwined with aromas of jammy black-cherries, herbs, and wood. Full body and impressive extract remain hallmarks of this twenty-year old wine. However, the ferocious tannin with its astringent bite is more noticeable than ever. I am not giving up on it as there are still too many impressive components...(RP)" (08/1994)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Behrens & Hitchcock "Cemetery" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery (94% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot) comes from the well-known Cemetery Vineyard in St. Helena. A terrific bouquet of acacia flowers, blueberries and blackberries is followed by a layered, opulent, rich, fleshy wine with loads of fruit, sweet tannin and excellent purity as well as length. This is a stunning example of the heights that Behrens Family Winery can achieve. " (04/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 93DC, 92ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of the finest Opus Ones to date, offering a dark ruby/purple color, as well as a striking, intense bouquet of sweet licorice intermixed with blackberries, cassis, plums, and saddle leather. This seamless, full-bodied wine is more velvety-textured, opulent, and succulent than past vintages. The mid-palate is expansive and chewy. The long finish is filled with glycerin, ripe fruit, and sweet tannin. Drink this impressive, user-friendly yet richly concentrated effort over the next 15 years. (RP)" (01/2000)

Of the 2015 Domaine A&P de Villaine Mercury Rouge "Les Montots",Wine Spectator writes: "Displaying macerated cherry, kirsch, rose, earth and spice flavors, this ripe red is broad and firm yet silky, with density and the structure for aging. Fine, lingering aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2029. (BS)" (05/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Vietti Barolo "Lazzarito" (94WS, 92RP). 94 points Wine Spectator: "Loads of ripe fruit here with spices and cherries. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. This is big and chewy, yet balanced with lots of fruit. I like this as much as the 2000. Best after 2008. 360 cases made." (10/05) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Barolo Lazzarito is the darkest of these wines. It opens with a penetrating nose of toasted oak, cherries in liqueur, menthol, minerals and tar. The Lazzarito is a beautifully conceived wine that combines dark, backward Serralunga fruit and a very modern approach into a convincing whole, with excellent length and persistence on the palate. There is noticeably more extract in the fruit here to support the oak. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019." (10/06)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bevan "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last two 2013s I tasted included the 2013 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. This fabulous and exciting elixir is a equal-part blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot aged in equal parts Gamba and Darnajou, all new French oak. A stunning nose of forest floor, blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and spring flowers soars from the glass of this inky purple wine. Another offering of great intensity, with voluptuous texture and lavish, almost extravagant fruit richness, this pure, rich and incredibly well-made wine is yet more proof that Bevan is a genius on so many levels, as he can produce compelling wines whether they are Bordeaux varietals, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc or even Chardonnay. Drink now through 2040. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Kilikanoon "Oracle" Shiraz Clare Valley South Australia (97RP, 96JH, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Shiraz Oracle, which I reviewed last year, has gotten even better with an additional year of bottle age. From the Clare Valley (a slightly cooler climate region), it spent 24 months in 100% French oak (50% new), and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Its inky/purple color is accompanied by sumptuous aromas of graphite, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, and subtle oak. There is great fruit on the attack, full body, wonderful elegance, precision, and purity, tremendous length and persistence, sweet tannin, and good acidity that provides definition to this majestic wine’s amply endowed components. Give it another 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following two decades. (RP)" (10/2005)
Starting Bid: $84.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Louis Martini "Monte Rosso" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With 14.5% natural alcohol, this dense ruby/purple-colored blockbuster boasts rich creme de cassis and dusty, loamy soil notes intermixed with cedar, tobacco leaf and forest floor. This full-bodied, opulent, sexy 1997 is still very youthful with two decades of life ahead of it. Anticipated Maturity: now-2030+ (RP)." (08/2012)

It boasts an insanely good bouquet of ripe blue fruits, white flowers, incense, and menthol. This is followed by a layered, exotic, thrillingly full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that has a gorgeous mid-palate density, massive structure, no hard edges, and a great, great finish." (12/2017)

Of the 2013 T-Vine Cellars "Frediani Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Sirah,T-Vine was founded in 1992 by winemaker Greg Brown, with the intent to produce small lot wines of old vine origins such as Grenache, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. About the vineyard writes: "The Frediani Vineyard is a museum of old vines and long-forgotten Napa Valley varieties. Smack dab in the middle of the valley floor, these vines sit in rocky gravel and bale clay loam soil and experience brutally hot days and chilly nights. This variance in temperature produces incredible lush, intense fruit. These unique conditions, in the hands of somebody like Jim Frediani, are the recipe for masterpiece after masterpiece. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Poggio San Polo's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a beautiful wine with a deep sense of aromatic purity and complexity. The bouquet delivers characteristic tones of small berry, forest floor, pressed violets, sweet spice, licorice and cola. Those aromas are both pure and intense, and build in momentum as the wine takes on more air in the glass. This is a fantastic effort with a mouthfeel that is as delicate and light as its it is meaningful and long-lasting. The overall effect is one of elegance and finesse. This is a highly recommendable achievement from a classic vintage. (ML) 94+" (02/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Grand Veneur "Les Origines" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96JD, 95RP, 93VN, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "With more of everything, the 2010 Les Origines is a serious effort that has thrilling richness and depth. A blend of 50% Grenache and equal parts Syrah and Mourvedre that’s aged for 18 months in new oak, it has a deep, rich bouquet of blackberry, crème de cassis, licorice, leather, graphite, and spice-box that gives way to a full-bodied, perfectly balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape that builds on the palate, with fantastic richness, ripe tannin, and a finish that won’t quit. Despite its stint in oak, it barely shows and the overall impression here is one of deep, concentrated, and pure fruit. This should be give 5-6 years of bottle age, and then consumed over the following 15 years or longer." (09/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino (97VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Very dark garnet with ruby highlights. Explosive aromas of underbrush, tobacco, tar and black pepper. A flavor of blackberry fruit mingles with a pungent dose of porcini mushroom and roasted coffee beans. Lushly textured and dense but also fresh and focused, with full but pliant tannins. Sweet dark berries emerge on the long finish. A compelling, polished, multidimensional wine, with loads of extract. (EB)" (07/2002)

Full body, with velvety tannins and juicy fruit. Tannic now, but will soften with age. Lots going on here. Very close to the superb 2008. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Try after 2013." (09/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "Domaine de Thalabert" Crozes-Hermitage (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert, which I raved about last year, is slightly better than their brilliant 2009. It boasts a dense purple color along with a beautiful perfume of camphor, licorice, forest floor, black currants and Christmas fruitcake. With tremendous intensity, full body and supple tannins, it should drink well for 10-15 years, perhaps longer where well-stored. This cuvee is always one of the best buys in the Northern Rhone. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Dangerous Birds" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100JS, 98RP, 98VN). James Suckling: "Aromas of fresh leather and blueberries with hints of licorice. Give it another couple years to mellow. 1998 Piedmont blind retrospective. (Web-2008)"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 98JS, 98VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mark Aubert notes that this is a complex vineyard. It is planted to four different clones: two Old Wente clones, Mount Eden and Corton Charlemagne. The 2017 Chardonnay Lauren Estate starts out with a quiet intensity of ripe pears, apricot tart and spiced apples notes, growing exponentially to reveal a whole spectrum of savory/earthy nuances: marzipan, cashews, yeast extract, oolong tea, chalk dust and nutmeg. Full-bodied, the palate truly lets off the flavor fireworks, giving up loads of citrus, stone fruit, pears and savory flavors plus a racy backbone, finishing very long and very moreish. (LPB)" (10/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JG). John Gilman: "The 1985 Mondavi Cabernet reserve bottling contained twelve percent Cabernet franc and six percent Merlot in this vintage, and was aged in one hundred percent new oak. It weighs in at 13.1 percent alcohol, making it still a very classic vintage of this wine in terms of ripeness. I tasted two bottles of this wine for this article, with the first shipped to New York by the winery for a retrospective tasting, and which showed impressive complexity, but with slightly disjointed acidity on the backend that suggests less than fully successful acidulation in this era of 'sculpted wines.' The second bottle, which had been in a good friend’s cellar since its release was very polished and classy, and decidedly more interesting than the bottle flown in from Oakville. The bouquet is a complex and classy blend of black cherries, dark berries, a touch of chipotle, tobacco leaf, coffee, gent
