Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2003 Roccolo Grassi Recioto della Valpolicella (375ml) (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Recioto della Valpolicella is almost as good, with expressive dark fruit, chocolate, mineral and licorice sensations that flow from the glass. It offers superb purity in a more restrained style of Recioto, with only a slight dryness to the tannins on the finish detracting from its score. (AG)" (10/2007)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Climens, Barsac (96WS, 93JS, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Loads of honey, maple syrup, dried apricot and spice. Full-bodied, medium-sweet, with a refined, spicy character. Pretty wine. Masses of botrytis. This is refined and long, a racy wine compared with the power and muscle of so many others. Beauty among the beasts. Best after 2012. (JS)" (03/2006)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Bond Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend Horizontal, including 1-bottle of 2003 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 94VN, 94WE), 1-bottle of 2003 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96WE, 94RP, 94VN, 93ST), and 1-bottle of 2003 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 96WE, 94VN, 93ST). Of the 2003 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2003 Melbury comes from a slopeside site on the northern side of Lake Hennessey, opposite the Rutherford valley floor. Winemaker Bob Levy compares the 2003 to the 2006 because of the wet winter and spring and the summer’s heat spikes. A brilliant effort from sedimentary soil with rocks over compacted clay, it is a gorgeous wine offering raspberry, black currant, spring flower and blueberry characteristics along with a dense purple color, a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel and sweet tannin. This stunningly rich hillside Cabernet Sauvignon should reach ful

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (98JS, 96VN, 95WE, 94ST, 93RP, 93WS, 92DC). James Suckling: "A dense and powerful wine as always with very ripe fruit yet an underlying freshness and complexity with tobacco, dried fruit and fresh spices such as lemon grass and Thai basil. Layered and long. " (10/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (95VN, 94WE, 94WS, 93ST, 92JS, 91RP). Vinous: "A heady, exotic wine, the 2003 Mouton Rothschild takes hold of all the senses. The ripeness and exuberance of the year comes through in spades as this dramatic, opulent wine shows off its radiant personality. The 2003 can be enjoyed now, but it could also use another few years for the tannins to soften. Still, the 2003 is pretty hard to resist today. This is an exceptional, deeply satisfying Mouton endowed with notable richness but also exceptional balance. Hints of toffee, torrefaction and dark spices are laced into the finish. In 2003 the blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, all brought in between a fairly narrow window of ten days between September 15 and 25. (AG)" (05/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (98WS, 96JD, 96RP, 95WE, 93DC, 93VN, 92JS). Wine Spectator: "Intense blackberry and cherry, with hints of currant. Toasted oak and sweet tobacco too. Roses and other flowers, such as lilacs. Full-bodied, with masses of tannins yet incredibly long and seductive. *No. 3 Top Wines of 2006, Collectibles* (JS)" (03/2006)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from a 2.8 hectare (6.9 acre) parcel of vines less than 25 years old in the estate’s considerable holdings in Musigny, the 2003 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru displays black fruits and earth in its aromatics. Medium-bodied, sporting an extraordinarily silky texture, this angle-free beauty coats the palate with black cherries, blackberries, candied black raspberries, and spices galore. (PR)" (08/2005)

Bid on this magnum of 2003 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (1.5L) (97RP, 96WE, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine I’ve had more than a case of, sometimes with irregular results, the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes was drinking about as good as it gets on this occasion. As usual, it’s made in a deeper, richer style than the Chaupin and offers thrilling texture, a smoking mid-palate and nothing but gorgeous Grenache fruit on the finish. Loaded with notions of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, fruit cake and spice, enjoy this knockout effort over the coming 2-4 years or so. (JD)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (96WE, 95RP, 93ST, 93W&S, 93WS, 92CG, 92DC). Wine Enthusiast: "Solidly in the Hillside Select model, this vigorous young Cab is dramatically ripe and powerful. The flavors of red and black currants, milk chocolate, figs and smoky vanilla erupt in the mouth, making the tastebuds jump with joy. However, there is also the structure, among the greatest in California Cabs. The acidity is fine, but the tannins are stupendously rich, sweet and complex, practically a food group in themselves. *Best of 2008, Cellar Selection*" (03/2008)
